OUR MISSION
The mission of PBC is to glorify God, to grow in our own faith and help cultivate faith in others, while we give of ourselves without condition and without seeking earthly comfort for ourselves.
"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven" Matthew 5:14-16 ESV
OUR VALUES
We value the purpose of the Church: to bring glory to God. We strive to this purpose by placing God first in our lives, and by making disciples of Christ, not just converts.
We value all people. For all people are created in the image of God and are uniquely created by His hand.
We value the mission of the Church. To serve inside and out of the Church, to the purpose of transformation and growth in each person.
We value the call of Jesus to serve. We serve by freely giving of our God given gifts and resources as He has blessed His people in order that they may be a blessing to others.
We value PBC to be a safe space. For the broken hearted, the oppressed, the outcasts, and the seeker as well as the maturing in Christ, we strive to continue with education, training and process/policy implementation to keep this a safe space.
We value worship. Worship not of false idols but of the one true God who is alive and worthy of all worship. We do this musically through the blended worship in freedom; come as you are, led by the Holy Spirit. We worship in life as we are led by the Spirit to love, care for and communicate truth to one another. We worship by committing to prioritize God in the center of our lives.
We value the Word of God. True and trustworthy for instruction,
correction, and revelation, the Bible tells the story of God’s great
love for mankind and all creation. It is the story of salvation and
redemption through Jesus Christ and the promise of the
reconciliation of a fallen world to God that will be completely
fulfilled in Christ’s return.
